Call us for a farm visit

One fine November day Audrey, Linda, Mikal, Vicki, and Cassie (Audrey's daughter) came to our farm to meet the alpacas. Now these ladies are very special becasue they can knit yarn into clothing. They were interested to see and touch these lovely beasts.

The alpacas were very happy to see our visitors and walked out to meet us. Virginia Class lead the pack.

My cousin Veronica took pictures.

The first thing we did is talk with the girls. The big news was that Coconut Cream's most recent baby was a true black alpaca we called Maxwell's Equation.
The girls are coming out to visit.

Knitting Club Meets the Alpacas Maxwell's Equation is Black, Black, Black. I cannot see another color fiber anywhere on his entire body. While Maxwells Dam (mom) is white, his sire (dad) was black and white. Snack in the barn.

We went into the main barn and gave the girls a mid afternoon snack. Some of the girls ate from our hands, but some felt more comfortable eating from a bucket.

Coconut Cream was very nice to our visitors. She let them pick up Maxwell and hug him to death (not really).
Maxwell was the center of attention.

Then we took the girls for a walk

We took the girls for a walk all the way down our driveway and next door to visit the horses that live there.

Clearly everyone was having fun Then we visited with the male alpacas. They were very happy to see our visitors and as you can see by their faces, the visitors were happy to feed the alpacas. Even the alpacas are laughing

Linda and Audry took some of my hand spun skeins home. They are going to make something that they can keep and a scarf for me. Linda sent me a picture of a sweater she made (right). Isn't it beautiful?

My cousin, Veronica, took some of my yarn home for her mother-in-law to knit.
